Project description

Following an iterative planning process, PlanningSphere secured planning permission for a redevelopment scheme on behalf of Watkin Ventures and Longacre in December 2021. The mixed-use scheme comprises 120 purpose-built student bedrooms on the upper floors; ancillary communal facilities; and a ground floor commercial storage and distribution unit designed for occupation by a local charity.

The scheme incorporates a green roof and green walls to maximise biodiversity, and proposes significant public-realm enhancement along one of Bath’s key arterial routes.
